HANDLES: Inside door handles and window cranks depict the same design as the hood emblem. Gray knobs are used on standard models and tan knobs used on custom models. Early 1938 models came with 1937 handles and cranks. On 1940 models there is a variance in the style of handles but they were matched throughout the car. A tee widow crank is used on the rear windows of most combination coupes. The escutcheons are chrome plated with a plastic insert, gray for standard models, and tan for the custom models. On some combination coupes, the escutcheons are all metal.
INSTRUMENT PANEL: All deluxe models have the dash panel and garnish moldings Mahogany-grain, and the custom models are lacquered to harmonize with the upholstery. The plastic inserts in the dash along with the speedometer and clock bezels, and the center grill are gray for standard/deluxe models and tan for the custom models. The clock and speedometer hands are matched, 1938 &1939 models the hands are red and in an offset pattern. The 38 & 39 speedometers have a split reading with the speed read out on top and tach readout on the bottom. The 1940 speedometer just had the speed readout. A cigar lighter is standard equipment on the custom models and optional on deluxe models. A single windshield wiper motor operates both wipers with a single control on top and center of the dash.
UPHOLSTERY: 1938 AND 1939 Deluxe models have two tone Glengary gray cloth seats, doors and sidewalls. The roof is lined with headlining cloth to match. Mohair or leather upholstery is optional. On custom models,
